Our mule deer hunts take place on a number of different private ranches in New Mexico. Mule Deer Bucks average 160 scores and we have taken many trophies in the 180 range on these hunting properties. We offer rifle, archery, and muzzleloader hunts for mule deer with an abundance of trophies on the ranches. It is sure to be the hunting adventure of a lifetime for any sportsman. Muley Hunts take place for bow and arrow in September through January. The rifle hunts take place in late October through mid-November. Typically, there is a lot of hiking and glassing for deer as some of this New Mexico hunting country can be very open. Glassing plays a big part in finding your trophy buck.

The trophy mule deer hunts in September offer the option of a combo archery elk and mule deer packages. Private land mule deer tags are over the counter and we have 100% success rates on the public land hunt draw.
The hunting area consists of cedar & juniper-type terrain, open canyons, and some timber. South-facing slopes are good glassing this time of year. In January the mule deer are rutting, giving hunters excellent opportunities are trophy bucks. Average bow shots are 40 yards. The hunting methods vary from spot & stalk to sitting over water holes.
Unit 41 Oct 19-23 Unit 33 & 37 hunts run November 16-20th. Unit 2A & 2B, 2C Unit 34 seasons vary and all units offer private mule deer hunts.
The hunting area is situated in Sand Hill country with sagebrush & grass. This is a wide open country with lots of glassing and long-shot opportunities. Hunting methods are primarily spot & stalk. Shots range from 250 to 350 yards with long shot opportunities for hunters proficient at long-range shooting. Standard rifle hunts are 2 x 1 but can be upgraded to 1 x 1 Private land rifle tags are over the counter.
